Headies Unveil New Award Categories and 2022 Bentley For Their 15th Next Rated Winner

Another Headies Award, Another Drama Loading, But this time, it will be an international drama..

On the 1st of March, the organisers of the award show took to their official Instagram to announce the Big changes ahead of the 15th Headies Award Show.

This year’s edition will hold in Altanata, U.S at the prestigious Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on Saturday, July 2nd, 2022. Another big change is the fact that the winner of the ‘Next Rated’ will be going home with a 2022 Bentley.

The organizers revealed that their decision to change the venue and car is to make artists proud of their achievements, and also to make it difficult for managers of Next Rated winners to take control of the gifted cars.

As of the time of this report, the artists being considered for the 2021 Next Rated award are; Ayra Starr, BNXN (BUJU), Ruger, and Zinoleesky.

Also The 15th Headies has introduced new categories which are;

– Music Executive of the Year
– Best Afrobeat Pop Single (Nigeria)
– Best Afrobeat Pop Album (Nigeria)
– Best African Collaboration
– Best International Collaboration
– African Artiste of the Year
– International Artiste of the Year
