After winning the UEFA Super Cup in midweek, Real Madrid will now turn their attention to La Liga action as they face an away trip to Mallorca in their opening fixture at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.
Mallorca finished in 15th place in the La Liga standings and have not been at their best so far this year. The home side slumped to a defeat on penalties against Bologna last week and will need to bounce back in this fixture.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, won the league title last season and have been exceptional under Carlo Ancelotti. Los Blancos eased past Atalanta by a 2-0 scoreline in the UEFA Super Cup in their previous game and will look to achieve a similar result this weekend.
