Winning the Premier League for a fifth successive season is looking unlikely for Manchester City who are fifth in the table and take on sixth placed Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium.
The Citizens have gone seven games without a win but that’s only part of the story. They have conceded 19 goals in those seven matches, six of which have ended in defeat. They are now 11 points behind leaders Liverpool who they lost 2-0 to on Sunday. City are outside the top four on goal difference and Forest will go above them if winning this match.
Nottingham Forest returned to winning ways with a 1-0 home win over Ipswich Town on Saturday. They needed a Chris Wood penalty to secure that win after losing their previous two league fixtures. Of their six away league matches this season, Forest have won three (including a victory at Anfield) and only been beaten at Arsenal.
