Real Madrid face Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabeu as they enter Saturday’s match second in the LaLiga standings, three points behind leaders Barcelona.

However, Los Blancos will be looking to bounce back after falling 1-0 to Lille in the Champions League midweek. The defeat was Real Madrid’s first in all competitions since January.

As for Villarreal, they have impressed so far this campaign and currently sit third thanks to five wins, two draws and one defeat.

The Yellow Submarine have won three of their last four matches, including wins against Espanyol and Las Palmas. So far they’ve scored 17 goals, good enough for joint-second behind Barcelona (25).

However, Villarreal have conceded 15 times, which is the third-worst defensive mark so far.
