The reason behind Hondastevo’s selection as host of the 8th OSMA Awards.

As the theme of this year awards implies ‘The Power of our roots’, we took an in-depth look at all our positives since the maiden edition in 2016, merge everything together to create another super edition. This implies a new face will not host the awards this year.

After much deliberation by the organizers, we decided to stick with one of the hosts of the maiden edition. “Why can’t we have the host of the maiden edition host again? – a question asked by one of the organizers.

We all brainstormed about the idea and it stuck. Akinfolurin Stephen (Hondastevo) was hosted the maiden edition alongside Domino Richards in 2016.

The award body believes Hondastevo will bring more energy to the show because he already understands the awards norms and belief and have also been an ardent follower since hosting in 2016.

Hondastevo has shared same stage with the likes of Alibaba, Akpororo, Seyilaw, Gbenga Adeyinka, Bovi & lots more.

He has over the years grown to become a prominent face on the Nigerian pop culture and entertainment scene while also lending his voice to youth empowerment initiatives as a comedian.
