Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will meet for the chance to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era Saturday night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The fight will crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 2000, as well as the first in the four-belt era. As well as the four belts, a special commemorative belt was made specifically for the fight on May 18th. The special edition WBC Fury-Usyk belt was blessed by Pope Francis, the leader of the Roman Catholic faith.
Fury is generally considered the best heavyweight in the world but he faces a unique challenge in Usyk, a masterful boxer who was previously undisputed champion at cruiserweight. Fury appears to have taken the challenge seriously, coming in at 262 pounds, the lightest he has weighed in for a fight since his 2019 fight with Otto Wallin.
