FC Copenhagen head to the iconic Camp Nou for a climactic Champions League clash with Catalan giants Barcelona on Wednesday night. Blaugrana are in ninth place in the League Phase standings heading into the final Matchday, while Loverne are in 26th place.
Barcelona secured their spot in the next round of the UCL last week with a commanding performance in Prague, but the job is far from complete for Hansi Flick’s side. Barca are one of eight teams locked level on 13 points apiece and are the first side below those coveted top-eight places, which allows them direct entry to the last 16.
Copenhagen showed tremendous fighting spirit to take a point off Napoli despite playing almost a full hour with 10 men on MD7. However, that result dropped them two places below the Knockout Playoff cutoff, meaning only a victory here will give them a chance of remaining in Europe this season.
