Barcelona are ramping up their preparations ahead of the new campaign by playing in the Friuli Venezia Giulia triangular tournament this Saturday at the Dacia Arena, Udine in Italy.
It is a three-team competition featuring 45-minute matches, one of which pits them against Nottingham Forest.
The Catalan giants head into another demanding season looking to build on last year’s dominant title-winning run under Hansi Flick.
Their pre-season campaign got underway recently with a trip to Birmingham City, a match that ended in a 2-2 draw before Barcelona ultimately fell on penalties. Saturday’s fixtures against Nottingham Forest and Udinese should offer valuable further preparation ahead of their La Liga opener against Elche on August 23.
