Chelsea travel to MKM Stadium where they will face Hull City in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Liam Rosenior’s men progressed past Charlton Athletic 5-1 in the third round at The Valley in Rosenior’s first game at the helm since arriving from Strasbourg.
The Blues were held to a 2-2 by Leeds United in their last outing in the Premier League on Tuesday, with Daniel Farke’s side coming back from 2-0 down to salvage a share of the spoils at Stamford Bridge.
Now, Rosenior travels to one of his former clubs, Hull, where he cut his teeth in senior management. The Chelsea boss guided the Tigers to within an inch of the Championship play-offs in the 2023-24 season, and was harshly dismissed by the Hull hierarchy at the end of the campaign.
He moved to France to take over at Strasbourg that sumnmer, and spent a year and a half with the Ligue 1 side before returning to his homeland.
Hull, meanwhile, are flying in the second tier, fourth in the table and on-course for the play-offs. Sergej Jakirovic has overseen the Humberside outfit’s rise, with the Tigers unbeaten in their last six games before their defeat by Bristol City last time out.
