Liverpool are still to confirm their spot in next season’s Champions League as they host Brentford at Anfield on the final day of the Premier League season.
Last season’s Premier League champions have been way off the pace all campaign, with Arne Slot’s Reds currently occupying fifth spot in the table.
Liverpool, though, require just one more point to be sure of qualifying for Europe’s top table, which could vital for the club’s summer transfer plans.
Brentford also have European ambitions as they can still qualify for either the Europa League or the Conference League.
The Bees are currently in ninth place, one point behind Chelsea, who occupy the final qualification spot for Europe in eighth.
However, the Londoners must first find a route to victory away at a Liverpool side still with something to play for.
