Andoni Iraola takes charge of Liverpool for the first time tonight at the Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee in a pre-season friendly against Sunderland.
The Spaniard was appointed as Arne Slot’s replacement earlier this summer following the Dutchman’s surprise sacking, and fans will now get a first chance to watch the new-look Reds.
It will be a much-changed side, too, with legends including Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson having departed for greener pastures after extended spells with the club.
Sunderland, meanwhile, enjoyed an impressive first season back in the Premier League and head coach Regis Le Bris will be keen to build on it.
While this is Liverpool’s first taste of pre-season action, the Black Cats have already been in action. They beat League Two side York City 5-1 earlier this week.
