Enzo Maresca remains in the spotlight as Chelsea visit Newcastle in the Premier League this weekend.
The Italian has done little to quell the incessant gossip which has swirled about him since he made a thinly-veiled jab at the club’s hierarchy following a routine 2-0 defeat of Everton last weekend.
His situation has not been helped by reports that Man City are interested in re-signing him this summer should Pep Guardiola move for greener pastures.
The Blues, though, have won back-to-back matches – most recently sinking Cardiff in the Carabao Cup – as they visit the injury-stricken Magpies, who could be without as many as nine players for Saturday’s match.
Newcastle suffered a damaging derby defeat to Sunderland last weekend, but overcame their injury crisis to knock Fulham out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
